General Information for the
2008 Little League
Baseball World Series
The
World Series will be played Aug. 15-24, 2008. All of the games will be
played at the Little League International complex in Williamsport, PA.
As always, tickets are free. Howard J. Lamade Stadium, where the final
rounds of the Little League World Series have been played every year
since 1959, seats approximately 10,000. The hillside terraces just
beyond the outfield fence, which offers excellent viewing, can
accommodate up to 30,000 more fans.
Little League Volunteer Stadium, for early round games, seats about
5,000. The 2008 Series will again feature 16 teams from around the
world.
World Championship Game Tickets
The general public can obtain tickets for the World Championship Game
through a lottery system.
Those desiring tickets for the World Championship Game prepared a
letter requesting up to four tickets (maximum) for the final game.
Requests must be mailed to: Attention: 2008 World Series Tickets; Little
League International; 539 US Route 15 Hwy.; PO Box 3485;
Williamsport, PA 17701. Please note that telephone, fax, and e-mail
requests will not be accepted.
Little League Baseball will accept mailed requests through February
2008. Requests received after February 29 will not be accepted.
Little League International will notify individuals submitting ticket
requests through the lottery process as to whether or not they were
selected. Individuals receiving tickets must pick up their tickets at
the “Will Call” window at Lamade Stadium during the week prior and/ or
the week of the World Series.
If you do not receive tickets for the World Championship Game you can
watch the game from the terraced hills at Lamade Stadium. Tickets are
never required for the terraced hills. All you need to do is arrive
and find a place on the terraced hills from which you can watch the
game. You may want to bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs.
General Public Tickets for Other Games
There is limited General Public seating in Lamade Stadium and
Volunteer Stadium for all games other than the Championship Game.
General Public seating for those games is available on a first-come,
first-served basis. General Public seating ticket/passes are not
available in advance but may be distributed prior to the respective
games by Little League World Series ushers/personnel upon entering
either stadium to assist World Series ushers/personnel in controlling
crowd size. Those attending the Little League World Series, but unable
to obtain a ticket/pass to sit in the respective stadium can also
watch the games from the terraced hills at Lamade Stadium or the area
beyond the outfield fence at Volunteer Stadium.

17701. Include with your request a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
These souvenir tickets will be mailed in early August.

If you are arriving by car, simply take U.S. Route 15 into South
Williamsport, and follow the signs to the Little League Museum/Stadium
Parking. Parking is free.
A wide variety of food and refreshments is available, and Little
League World Series souvenirs are also available. Pin Trading is
encouraged in a special area set-aside for this purpose. Fans are
encouraged to visit the Little League Sponsors area.
For the safety and enjoyment of all who attend, the following items
are prohibited in the Little League Complex: alcohol, large tarps,
large coolers, large bags or large containers, glass containers, plastic
containers, cans or other items containing liquids/fluids, pets,
solicitation, fireworks, laser pointers, knives and weapons of any
kind. Items required for infants will be permitted. In keeping with
the Little League tradition of teaching by example, all smoking and
smokeless tobacco use is prohibited in all Lamade Stadium grandstands,
exitways, rest rooms and all buildings maintained by Little League
Baseball. All items brought into the complex are subject to
inspection. All blankets, chairs and personal items of any kind must
be removed daily.
