International Tournament Tip of the Day – Tip 19

Softball Pitching Distance and Ball

The official pitching distance for Little League Softball (league-age 11, 11-12, and above) is 40 feet from home plate. At the 9-10 division, the official pitching distance is 35 feet.

Softballs meeting Little League specifications for a 12-inch ball shall be used in Little League, Junior League, Senior League and Big League play. The 11-inch ball is to be used at the 9-10 and 10-11 divisions.
