General Information for the
2006 Little League Baseball World Series

The World Series will be played Aug. 18-27, 2006. All of the games will be played at the Little League International complex in Williamsport, PA.

The schedule of the games can be found here.

As always, tickets are free. Howard J. Lamade Stadium, where the final rounds of the Little League World Series have been played every year since 1959, seats approximately 10,000. The hillside terraces just beyond the outfield fence, which offers excellent viewing, can accommodate up to 30,000 more fans.

Little League Volunteer Stadium, for early round games, seats about 5,000. The 2006 Series will again feature 16 teams from around the world.

World Championship Game Tickets
The general public can obtain tickets for the World Championship Game through a lottery system.

Those desiring tickets for the World Championship Game must prepare a letter requesting up to four tickets (maximum) for the final game.

Requests must be mailed to: Attention: 2006 World Series Tickets; Little League Baseball International; 539 US Route 15 Hwy.; PO Box 3485; Williamsport, PA 17701. Please note that telephone, fax, and e-mail requests will not be accepted.

Little League Baseball will accept mailed requests through February 28, 2006. Requests received after February 28 will not be accepted.

Little League Baseball will notify individuals submitting ticket requests through the lottery process as to whether or not they were selected. Individuals receiving tickets must pick up their tickets at the “Will Call” window at Lamade Stadium during the week prior and/ or the week of the World Series.

If you do not receive tickets for the World Championship Game you can watch the game from the terraced hills at Lamade Stadium. Tickets are never required for the terraced hills. All you need to do is arrive and find a place on the terraced hills from which you can watch the game. You may want to bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs.

Tickets for Other Games
Although a ticket is required for the World Championship Game, you do not need a ticket for any of the other games. Seating for those games in Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium is first come, first served. It is suggested if you plan to sit in the stadiums, you arrive early. You may also watch the games from the terraced hills at Lamade Stadium. Please note that game passes may be distributed upon entering either stadium to assist World Series ushers in controlling crowd size. These passes are not available in advance and will be distributed by ushers prior to the respective games.

Souvenir tickets for the terraces are available by writing to: Attention – Souvenir Terrace Tickets; Little League Baseball International; 539 US Route 15 Hwy.; PO Box 3485; Williamsport, PA 17701. Include with your request a stamped, self-addressed envelope. These souvenir tickets will be mailed in early August.
