Belmont Heights Little League: Located in Tampa FL, Belmont
Heights has been a chartered league since 1968 and a member of
the Urban Initiative since 2002. Belmont Heights LL graduates
include Gary Sheffield, Derek Bell, Carl Everett, and Dwight
“Doc” Gooden. The league participated in the 1980 and 1981
Little League World Series. Approximately 330 children
participate in the Belmont Heights Little League and they field
26 teams. They are in Florida District #13 (Charles Lieble DA FL
#13) and the league President is Artis Gambrell Jr.
