Gary Midtown Little League: Located in Gary,
Ind., Gary Midtown Little League is in Indiana District 1 under
District Administrator Steve Heck, and has the distinction of
being the home league for Little League Baseball World Series
standout and Pittsburgh Pirates manager, Lloyd McClendon, along
with Chicago Cubs relief pitcher LaTroy Hawkins. The league has
been a chartered member of Little League since 1954, and
involved in the Little League Urban Initiative for four years.
Approximately 220 players are participating in Gary Midtown
Little League, which fields 18 teams. The league president is
Greg Campbell.
