Reporting Child Abuse - Rhode Island

Under Rhode Island law, any person who knows of or suspects child abuse or sexual abuse of a child is required to report such abuse within twenty-four (24) hours to the Department of Children, Youth and Families.

Abuse is defined to include physical abuse, mental abuse, sexual abuse and neglect.
