Reporting Child Abuse - Rhode Island

Under Rhode Island law, any person who knows of or suspects child abuse or sexual abuse of a child is required to report such abuse within twenty-four hours to the department of children, youth and families.
Abuse is defined to include physical, mental and sexual abuse as well as neglect.
