Little League International, PowerChalk Announce Technology Partnership

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa., (Aug 16, 2010) - Stephen D. Keener, President and Chief Executive Officer of Little League Baseball and Softball, today announced a partnership agreement with PowerChalk, LLC.

PowerChalk has developed a web-based video product for Little League Baseball and Softball's free on-line Coach and Manager Resource Center called "Little League Connect." This Little League-branded product will be integrated into the education content currently available for free to member leagues, at: www.LittleLeagueCoach.org.

"As a kid, I dreamed of being on the mound in Williamsport," Chaz Henry, Chief Executive Officer of PowerChalk, said. "I am happy to have our company provide this technology to Little League."

"Little League Connect" is an on-line video analysis and coaching system, developed by PowerChalk, a Research Triangle company based in North Carolina, which features slow-motion and mark-up tools.

"We are committed to providing the best coaching and instruction tools to our chartered leagues," Mr. Keener said. "The goal is to provide Little League coaches and managers with the enhanced levels of training that will not only increase the educational opportunities, but more importantly help develop the skills and confidence of players. Through our partnership with PowerChalk, our coaches, players and parents will continue to broaden and refine their abilities to instruct the players in their local leagues."

Technologies made available through the PowerChalk partnership, are expected to enhance Little League International's free online Coaches Resource Center. The PowerChalk system will be on display in the museum at the 64th Little League Baseball World Series this August, and made available throughout the Little League program in the fall of 2010.
