Backyard Tips: Being a Better Base Runner

Little League® University will transform the way Little League volunteers, administrators, coaches, and parents experience and learning about the Little League program.

With the launch of the free website, LittleLeagueU.org, later this month, “The U” will connect visitors to engaging training videos and informative how-to articles, designed to educate users on the best practices for operating and enjoying a successful local Little League experience in your community.

This easy-to-navigate portal will feature customized instruction, an assortment of practice plans, and interactive quizzes for everyone involved in Little League, including District Administrators, League Presidents and local Board members, umpires, coaches, and parents.

Here is an example of what you'll see on LittleLeagueU.org. This drill, brought to by Steve Bernhardt, Instructor for the Baseball Factory, can help improve your Little Leaguer's skills on the basepaths, and can be done at the field, in the gym, or in the backyard.

Be on the lookout for more information about Little League University in the coming weeks, and you can be some of the first to get enrolled in The U!
