Little League® Registration: What You Need to Know for 2015!
It’s that time of year. If you haven’t already signed your children up for Little League®, you’re likely heading to your local registration very soon. For many of you, Little League registration is nothing new. You know what paperwork you need to bring, what division of play you’re signing your children up for, and what volunteer opportunities you’re interested in for this season.

If you’re new to registration, or need a refresher, there are some great resources from Little League’s The Parent Connection, that you can refer to, which can help you with a smooth registration – including the Parent Guide to Little League Registration, Questions to Ask Before Registration, and Questions to Ask During Registration.

When you're bringing your documentation to support your residency, make sure all those documents are dated or in effect between Feb. 1, 2014 and Feb. 1, 2015. If you’re using documents for school attendance, those must be dated before Oct. 1, 2014. Also, make sure you bring an original birth certificate or other proof of age document that has been issued by a federal, state or provincial government in the country in which the Little Leaguer is participating, to verify your Little Leaguers’ ages.

If you’re looking for a league to sign your children up for the first time, use the Local League Finder on LittleLeague.org. This will give you the contact information for the league that supports your community or where your children are enrolled in school. If you’re still not sure where to register, contact your Little League regional office, who can put you in touch with your local league or the District Administrator for your area. When you get to registration, make sure you confirm with your league officials that you are signing your child up for the correct league based on either residency or school attendance.

As you get ready for registering for another year of Little League, remember that it’s not only important for the players to have fun, but also the parents. Have a great 2015 Little League season, and best of luck to your Little Leaguers this year.
