Have Your Little Leaguer® Write Us a Story to Win World Series Gear
Summer is so special for children, filled with tons of outdoor activity, fun exercise, and spending quality time with their friends. Sounds a lot like Little League® Baseball and Softball, right? Little League has always been dedicated to building well-rounded kids, both on the field and off. In July, while children may not need to rise as early to make it to school, they still need to keep their minds and creativity sharp. On the last day of school, many kids came home with reminders to parents to have their children read and write during the summer, and Little League supports that one-hundred percent.

Little League Baseball® World Series,
the fifth and final book in the series
by Matt Christopher.
So, we are inviting Little Leaguers to write us a 200-400 word story about the great experiences they had during their Little League season. Tell us about the friendships, the special times, the unforgettable moments, the important lessons, and, yes, the cool moments in a game.

Little League will select and include several stories in upcoming newsletters, social media and may also be featured in the Little League Magazine presented by Major League Baseball. Those Little Leaguers who penned the featured stories will receive a 2014 Little League Baseball® or Little League Softball® World Series T-shirt. The submission date has been extended to August 12. Parents must submit stories on behalf of their Little Leaguer, so please use your email address. Send stories to parents@littleleague.org with the subject line “My Little League Story”. In the email, include your Little Leaguer’s name, your name, and local league.

And, for some great summer-time reading, Little League is proud to announce that on July 1, the book Little League Baseball® World Series was launched. This is the fifth and final book in the series that follows cousins, Liam and Carter, who grew up playing baseball together. Liam and Carter must now play against each other to achieve their dreams of winning the Series title! One cousin will win, and the other will lose. To Get your copy, Click Here.
