2016 Chartering to Be Done Exclusively Online:
Now is the time when local leagues are planning for the coming season, and one of the most important milestones in that process is applying for a charter. All leagues, regardless of past affiliations, are required to charter each year, and beginning with the 2016 season all charters will be processed online. The Charter and Insurance Applications will be available in the coming weeks through the Little League Data Center by logging on, and using your league ID number. Upon access the Charter and Insurance Applications, please review it for accuracy with regard to fees, rates, credits/debits and contact information. Additionally, please complete the application in its entirety, as a partially-competed application will only delay the process. Accident and Liability Insurance are mandatory for all leagues. If a league elects not to purchase these insurances through Little League, it must provide acceptable proof of insurance from the local insurance provider. By completing and returning the Charter and Insurance Application with the premium, prior to Jan. 1, the league guarantees that its insurance does not lapse. Jan. 1 is also the deadline for the Early Charter Incentive, which provides leagues 10 additional free rulebooks, and ensures the delivery of rulebooks and league supplies in time for the new season.
