Little League International Provides Latest Updates on Bat Moratorium

Chance Discovery Leads to Memorable Little League Reunion

The first test results have been received at Little League International regarding composite-barreled bats for use in the Little League (Majors) Division and below. Little League has created a list for those bats that have received waivers of the moratorium.

While sifting through some old boxes in a storage unit, 62-year-old Leo E. Boyle of Fort Myers, Fla., discovered a photograph of the Highland Park Little League team he played on in 1959, while living in Lowell, Mass.

Little League International Takes Little League Baseball World Series Ticket Lottery Online

In the aftermath of the Gulf War's chaos and destruction, Kuwait Little League, located in Kuwait City, has given root to recovery, community trust, and a sense of worth for more than 350 children, including those with disabilities.

The 2011 World Series Ticket Lottery will be conducted online with all submissions being collected through Little League's website. Log on to the Little League website to access the entry form.

Little League Softball Players Attend Taping of ABC's Good Morning America

The Coaches Toolkit provides separate packages for Little League Baseball and Little League Softball, which include sport-specific training manuals, video and other materials that will help both the novice and experienced coach.

Little League Softball players and their parents from the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) along with Sara Thompson, Little League's Director of Softball Development, were part of the audience at taping of ABC's Good Morning America.

Senior League Baseball World Series Receives Community Service Award from Bangor, Maine, Chamber of Commerce

2011 Little League World Series Logos Unveiled

The Senior League Baseball World Series has been played in Bangor, Maine, since 2002. At the Bangor Chamber of Commerce 100th Anniversary Awards Celebration, World Series Tournament Director Mike Brooker accepted the award.

Each of Little League's eight 2011 World Series will have distinctive logos created by Little League International sponsorship partner Russell Athletic, the official uniform provider of the Little League World Series.

Mike Legge to Retire; Nina Johnson Named Central Region Director

All ASAP plans must be implemented before the season starts in order to qualify as an approved plan for the current year. Mandatory Background checks also must be completed before the start of the season.

Mike Legge, Director of Little League's Central Region, has announced his retirement. Assistant Central Region Director Nina Johnson will assume the region director's position later this year.
