Text of 2011 Little League Rule Book Changes Now Available
The dates and sites for the eight Little League World Series tournaments in 2011 were approved by the Little League International Board of Directors during its annual meeting at Little League International.
Little League International has made significant changes to several policies, rules and regulations for the 2011 season. These changes have been made available in a PowerPoint presentation.

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City, (Mo.) recently dedicated the Fred and Shirley Pryor YMCA Challenger Sports Complex. The construction and development of the Challenger field and its surrounding amenities have taken four years to complete.
Little League International mourns the passing of Edward Younken, a beloved minister, and champion of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement, who also was the first Little Leaguer to pitch a no-hit, no-run game in the organization's history.

Little League Baseball and Softball has extended its relationship with New Era Caps after an agreement was reached that will maintain the manufacturer's status as the official and exclusive cap of the Little League Baseball World Series through 2014.
LexisNexis Refines Background Checks Process; It's Also Time to Consider ASAP Plans
Statement Regarding Composite Bats in Junior League, Senior League, and Big League Baseball Divisions
For the 2011 season, Little League International again will provide each chartered Little League with access to 125 free background checks through LexisNexis. This year, the LexisNexis online background process has been simplified.
A moratorium on the use of composite bats in the Junior, Senior, and Big League Baseball Divisions of Little League was enacted on Aug. 27, 2010, by the Little League International Board of Directors, effective immediately.
