NASA Astronaut Col. Terry Virts to Take Part in Little League Baseball World Series Events
Central Region Volunteer Headed to Peace Corps
U.S. Air Force Col. Terry Virts, an astronaut and Little League coach who piloted the Space Shuttle Endeavour on a trip to the International Space Station earlier this year, will be a special guest at this year's Little League Baseball World Series.
Megan Cain is one of many Little League volunteers who give their time and expertise to the program every year. Megan has been volunteering with her family at the Little League Central Region Headquarters in Indianapolis for more than seven years.
Video Replay to Be Expanded at Little League Baseball World Series
More Games of the Little League International Tournament to be Televised This Summer
Video replays, used at the Little League Baseball World Series in 2008 for the first time by any baseball organization, will be expanded at this year's Series.
As many as 71 games of the Little League Baseball and Softball International Tournament will be televised throughout the month of August. ESPN and its family of networks, ABC, and the New England Sports Network (NESN) will provide the live coverage.
