Welcome To The New
Fairball e-Newsletter

Times are Changing

In an effort to make changes that will improve the Umpire Registry effective Jan. 1, 2007 the Fairball newsletter will ONLY be delivered via electronic means. With this issue everyone will receive the Fairball newsletter in the mail and to their email inbox. If you don’t get the newsletter in your inbox you need to contact Kim Chaney with your email address. You can email her at kchaney@littleleague.org with your address and she will update your records here at Little League International to ensure that you receive the newsletter on time and every time.

Times are Changing II

The cost of membership in the Little League Umpire Registry is going up beginning with the 2007 season. The cost will be $25 for a one-year membership. Besides the many benefits you already receive from your membership, i.e. rule books, The Right Call, etc., that membership will now also bring you your own copy of the E-Rules CD complete with video of specific rules to help you understand those rules just a little better.

Want to be a guest writer ?

Each newsletter will have a Guest Writer Column. Want to get an article published? Get the pen out and jot down some of your thoughts and send them to Andy Konyar at akonyar@littleleague.org. Remember, this column must be appropriate to Little League umpiring. It can be a rule interpretation, a situation that happened to you or a colleague, etc.

The Guest Writer for December is Don Essex of  Alexandria, Va., which is in District 9. Click Here to read Don's article.
