Little League World Series Umpire Alumni International Affords Renovation to Umpire’s Room at Junior Baseball World Series

(TAYLOR, Mich.)  October 30, 2009 - In the fall of 2008, Little League World Series Umpire Alumni International (LLWSUAI) President, Rob Rossi, met with Greg Bzura, Little League’s Junior League Baseball World Series Director, to discuss how the umpires coming to Junior League Baseball World Series in Taylor, Mich., could benefit from funding provided by the organization.

Mr. Bzura presented a plan to the LLWSUAI Board of Directors that included renovating the umpire’s room at the Junior League Baseball World Series site.  The project was approved unanimously by LLWSUAI and a check in the amount of $2,000.00 was forwarded to Mr. Bzura.

Mr. Rossi attended the 2009 World Junior League Baseball World Series and all the umpires expressed their gratitude on the revocations.

The mission of the LLWSUAI is to encourage its members to embrace fellow volunteer umpires and share in their expertise and experience.  The Association supports the training and development of Little League Baseball and Softball volunteers at the local level through clinics and seminars. Such training sessions are designed to enhance umpiring skills and promote the full benefit and enjoyment of the youngsters that play Little League Baseball and Softball.
