Full Time Director of Umpire Development

Little League International is searching for a Director of Umpire Development, whose primary responsibility will be to assist in training and supporting volunteer umpires throughout the entire Little League International program. Based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, this full-time position requires candidates have a solid understanding of rules and regulations of Little League Baseball and/or Softball and a strong on field experience umpiring.

This position will report to the Sr. Director of Operations & Education and be involved in the development of instructional curriculum surrounding recruitment, development and retention of umpires. Additionally, the position will be involved in editing the rule books as directed by the Rule Committee. In addition, the Umpire Consultant will be involved in the development and administration of umpire clinics and schools.

Successful applicants will have a minimum of five years of umpire experience, strong written and interpersonal skills, excellent public speaking and communication skills, computer skills with MS Office experience, be congenial, patient, and tactful while assertive, as well as a passion for baseball and softball.

This position requires mandatory relocation to within commuting distance to Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
