Ask Sara
By Sara Thompson
My name is Sara Thompson. I am Little League International’s Softball Manager. I have been given the opportunity to write a column dedicated to the goings-on in the Little League Softball program that will appear in the monthly “Coach’s Box” newsletter.
I’ll focus on a variety of subjects relevant to Little League Softball. It’s my hope that this forum will provide answers to your questions on many aspects of Little League Softball, discuss new ideas and inform you about events happening in the softball world.
As for me, I started playing softball when I was six years old and continued playing through college at Coastal Carolina University. I have played or practiced every position throughout my career. Professionally, I have worked for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and assisted with different teams and clinics at all levels of play. Most importantly, I love the game of softball.
I encourage you to e-mail your questions, comments or possible topics of discussion to asksara@LittleLeague.org. This column is what you, the readers, make it, so let’s make it great!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours in Softball,
Sara
