How did Pearl City Little League Juniors grow into champions? It all started with ROOTS, the acronym we use in the Little League Double-Goal Coach Course to help people remember to respect Rules, Officials, Opponents, Teammates and Self. 
In fastpitch softball, the power position is one of the most talked about parts of the pitching motion. It is also one of the most misunderstood. The body moves in natural, basic patterns. Getting into and out of those patterns properly will enable you to use your body more efficiently. Efficiency can loosely be defined as putting the least amount of energy in and getting the most amount of performance—or power—out.
There were a lot of questions this season regarding coach’s interference, i.e. what is coaches’ interference; what is the penalty, etc. In this column I will attempt to answer your questions. 
Great teams win Championships. Great athletes can contribute to winning championships, but they cannot win them on their own. Team atmosphere and team relationships are very important to the overall success of your program. That is why I have decided to write on Team Bonding. Managing your athletes, or getting them to be the best team possible, is just as important as teaching them all the right skills to use on the field.
