Little League Challenger Division®

The Little League Challenger Division® provides an opportunity for children with physical and developmental disabilities to participate in the Little League program in an environment structured to their abilities. Through the buddy system, other Little Leaguers® assist Challenger athletes as needed with batting, running and fielding. In addition to the baseball skills learned through the experience, the value of the Little League Challenger Division is found in the proven therapeutic and socialization benefits of participating in sports; the strengthening of participants' self-esteem and learning the value of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play.

Little League Softball is proud to offer a number of different initiatives to support local leagues including the Coaches Resource Center, Michele Smith Coaches Clinics, Softball Factory Player Development Camps and Little League Softball Days at top colleges and universities.
