Winter: Trademarks and Logos
This is the time of year when the local Little League starts to mail correspondence to its Membership, to Regional Headquarters, and International. The letterhead can include the Official Little League logos and name, but neither can be used in conjunction with any other organization or enterprise.
Little League trademarks are protected by Federal statute, and can only be used when referring to the activities of the international program and its chartered leagues.
When a local Little League is approved to be chartered, one of the items the league president receives is a CD that contains high-resolution logos (graphics files) of various Little League logos. So there’s no need to call the Regional Headquarters or International – every chartered league already has easy access to these high-resolution logos.
The logos must only be used by chartered leagues in combination with the name of the chartered league, on letterhead, signage, and other league-related presentation.
