Spring: Multiple Participation

Although many Little Leagues are operated so efficiently and inclusively that no other baseball or softball programs exist in the same community, in some cases, a community or neighboring town may have a program not affiliated with Little League.

Players may participate in more than one program, including during the International Tournament.

This is subject to, however, the provisions of Regulation IV (a) Note 2: “If a player repeatedly misses practices and/or games because of participation in another program, the manager may remove the player from the team, subject to the board of directors’ approval, for the current season or tournament play. A team in a chartered Little League must not participate as a Little League team in games with or against those of another organization. This means that equipment and uniforms belonging to the local Little League must not be used in non-Little League approved games, and the team must not be identified as a team from a chartered Little League.”

Exception: A Little League team may participate in games against Non-Little League teams with a “Special Games Application (Non-Little League)” approved by the Regional Director. Such games must hosted by the local Little League and must be played using Little League Rules/Regulations as specified on the Special Games Application.
