Little League Policy on Roster Information

Little League Baseball, Incorporated requires chartered Little Leagues to submit rosters annually to headquarters (Regulation IV g). Rosters are required to provide player information including date of birth, parent or guardian contact information and individual team's coaches and manager. A player, manager or coach who is injured must be on roster at Little League International to be covered by Little League insurance.

Rosters should be submitted through the "Little League Data Center" on www.LittleLeague.org. This web site will provide a downloadable spreadsheet as well as accepting formats from Licensed Products and Active.com. This is a secure and easy way to provide the required data on players, managers and coaches, and insures that Little League International receives the data that is required.

The information provided on rosters is utilized by Little League International in the following ways:

  • To catalog and record each individual player into yearly listing of participants in the Little League program. These records are maintained in the Little League archives and for historical purposes through the Little League Museum.
  • To keep a record of the coaches and managers involved in the Little League Program and their associated team and league. This information is used to send the Little League Magazine for their team's players during the season
  • Emails reported for each player's parent or guardians, for each coach and/or manager are incorporated into Little League International's electronic database for the current season. Individuals receive an "opt-in" email announcement and are given the choice to opt-in to receive various communications from Little League. The privacy policy below describes our process for collecting and using email addresses of our constituents.
  • Household mailing addresses reported on rosters are occasionally used to provide information to you about the Little League program. Should information be sent to you, it will be sent under the cover of "Current Resident" or "To the Parent or Guardian of Little League Participant"

Note: Rosters may be sent to Little League International any time prior to June 6, 2013.
