2014 Chartering and Marketing Toolkit: The annual Chartering and Marketing Toolkit has been sent out to all leagues with most leagues receiving them by the end of November. Among the features is the Little League® 75th Anniversary Guide, which provides direction on how local leagues and districts can celebrate the diamond anniversary of Little League®. Please confirm with your leagues that they have received these Toolkits prior to the end of the year. We would also encourage all D.A.’s to ensure that local leagues take advantage of the companion website by visiting LittleLeagueToolkit.org. For talking points about the Chartering and Marketing Toolkit click here.
Concussion Awareness: Forty nine (49) states and the District of Columbia have enacted laws addressing concussions and protecting the health and safety of young athletes. Little League® International has compiled a summary of all currently existing and proposed state laws regarding concussions in youth athletes.
NOW IS THE TIME TO UPDATE! Little League® Player and Coach Data: Local leagues have conducted their elections and new leadership has been seated. Now is the time for leagues to electronically revise and update their League Officers, League Player Registration Data or Player Roster Data and Coach and Manager Data through the Little League®Data Center per Regulation IVg. The deadline for all leagues to complete this process is April 1, 2014.
League Registration and Management Software: Get informed about the software available for your leagues so you can guide them in the right direction. The best technology is easy to use and handles the most work, with the least effort. Learn more about ACTIVE Network, Little League’s preferred online registration partner.
Improvements to Background Screening Program: First Advantage (formerly LexisNexis) has improved its current background screening program. Among the improvements are: 1. The ability to track the first 125 screens; 2. Elimination of need to enter information multiple times; 3. The ability to add additional users on your account.
Remember, the First Advantage Background Screening Tool is ONLY to be used by local league and/or district officials for the purpose of checking the backgrounds of potential local or district volunteers.
Dan Kirby, Little League's Vice President of Risk Management, provides a description and explanation of the Little League background check program in this video presentation.

Little League® Training and Development Clinics and Road Shows: A list of Little League® clinics is available and will be continually updated as dates and locations are confirmed. If a Little League® Road Show is scheduled in your area, promote that information to local leagues in the district. If you wish to host a Road Show contact your regional office or Little League International. A story and current list of scheduled Road Shows is available here. Additional listings will include the 2013-14 Michele Smith Softball Coach and Manager Clinics, and Baseball Factory dates.
Electronic Boundary Maps: The electronic boundary map is a quick and easy tool that is featured on eteamz.com websites. Eteamz, and its parent company, ACTIVE Network, are long-time partners of Little League®. Through this partnership, new technology has been developed to allow districts and leagues to add an electronic boundary map to their eteamz.com websites.
