We hope you can visit one or more of these venues to see the games in person. If not, we invite you to enjoy the games on television or through the WatchESPN app and Little League World Series website.

Little League Parents Newsletter: Coming this fall, Little League® is proud to introduce The Parent Connection, a new parent newsletter designed specifically for Little Leaguer® parents and families. To learn more, and to sign-up, visit littleleague.org/parents.

2014 Chartering and Marketing Toolkit: Little League® Baseball and Softball is approaching its 75th Anniversary and in preparation for our diamond anniversary, we are looking to share a number of exciting opportunities and resources with our leagues and districts as we celebrate this milestone together. For the 2014 season, the Chartering and Marketing Toolkit will be delivered to current league officers, so it is important that you encourage the leagues in your district to update their league officer through the Little League Data Center. Please follow-up with all leagues to confirm that each has updated its league officers after the conclusion of the annual Board of Directors election.

ASAP Program Requirement No. 15: Local leagues may have to consider earlier registration dates in order the meet the ASAP requirement for players, coaches and managers information - ASAP Program Requirement 15. This requirement is mandatory, but does not mean that players, coaches and managers must be assigned to a roster. Making this change isn’t expected to affect your draft day and it will help Little League collect this valuable information. This is a listing of players, coaches and managers in a given local league that is to be uploaded to the Little League Data Center. Fax or mailed copies of the information will not be accepted.

Local League Finder Available Through Little League Website: The league finder system developed by ACTIVE Network allows all leagues in your district to be listed on a national league finder database. Interest is heightened by the World Series television coverage, so inquiries may increase. By completing the league finder and submitting for review, families will be able to locate leagues and obtain contact information by simply entering in their home address. We encourage District Administrators to develop a district boundary map via the league finder. Encourage your leagues to take advantage of this great promotional opportunity and help us get your leagues mapped.

Global Connection Touch Table: Throughout August the eyes of the world are on Little League®. This time of year offers a wonderful opportunity to encourage local leagues to upload information and photos to the World of Little League® Global Connections Touch Table. Any local Little League in the world has a direct connection to the Little League Museum -- thanks to the Global Connections Touch Table. Uploading pictures and information about a local league takes only a few minutes through a basic eteamz website and showcases leagues to the world.

2013 Tournament Mileage Reporting: The deadline for submitting tournament mileage reports is Sept. 15. The form is available here.

End-of-Year Evaluations: As we approach the end of another exciting Little League® season, this is a great time to encourage your leagues to hold an end-of-year meeting with parents or distribute a survey to obtain valuable feedback about their experience during the year. This information will be valuable as they look to improve their league for future years. Ask leagues to share these ideas at your next district meeting and discuss as a group how to improve.

Potential New Leagues: District Administrators (DAs) and assistants (ADAs) receiving inquiries from potential new leagues are asked to contact Dan Velte, Director of League Development, at: 570-326-1921, ext. 223; e-mail: dvelte@LittleLeague.org; or Sam Ranck, League Development Manager and Director of the Challenger Division, at: 570-326-1921, ext.2 254; e-mail sranck@LittleLeague.org.

This District Staff Bulletin is sent monthly to District Administrators and Assistant District Administrators via e-mail.
