District Administrator Bulletin - May 2009

Volunteer Awards: The nomination submission deadline is June 1, 2009 for the 2009 Little League Awards Program. The forms for the awards are available on the "ASAP/Leagues Supply" CD or can be downloaded from the Little League website, at: www.littleleague.org/Learn_More/awards.htm.  Direct any questions to Scott Rosenberg, Director of Public Relations, at: 570-326-1921, ext. 235; or srosenberg@LittleLeague.org.

Tournament Affidavit and Supplies: Tournament affidavits, and related documents and supplies, including mileage forms and medical release forms, will be mailed in specific groups designated by region. If a league charters teams in baseball and softball divisions, two separate mailings will be received.

Tournament Tips: Beginning soon Patrick W. Wilson, Vice President of Operations for Little League International and the Little League International Tournament Director, will be fielding questions via e-mail from district and local league officials regarding the 2009 Little League International tournament. An e-mail with additional details on the "Ask the Tournament Director" series will be distributed in the coming days.

Re-election Criteria: Information and materials regarding district administrator re-election procedures will be delivered in the coming weeks. More information is available here: http://www.littleleague.org/districtadmins/electioninfo.htm

Eligibility Waiver Deadline: All waiver requests involving player eligibility must be processed by the district and respective regional offices, and acted upon by the Little League International Charter Committee in Williamsport, no later than June 9, 2009 and prior to said player or league participating in the Little League tournament games. All waivers requests (for the league, team, player, manager, and/or coach) of any kind must be submitted and approved not later than June 9, 2009. All regular season team rosters must be submitted to Little League International in accordance with the requirements outlined in Regulation IV (g), not later than June 9, 2009.

Hats and Supplies: District Administrator hats and other specific supplies will be delivered prior to the tournament mailing. All updates on tournament resources are available on-line here: http://www.littleleague.org/tournamentresources.htm

Adjust and Update Charter information: The deadline for changes to 2009 charter information is June 9, 2009. Changes include, but are not limited to, updates and adjustments to team rosters, total teams chartered for the year and proper listing of teams by division.
