Review Rules and Regulations: Meet with league presidents to review the new baseball and softball rules and regulations that will be in place for the 2010 seasons, including the revised pitch count limits for all divisions of baseball.

Congress Information: Registration is currently under way for the 2010 Little League International Congress in Lexington, Ky. To register, or for more information, click here: http://www.littleleague.org/Learn_More/About_Our_Organization/congress.htm

Waivers: Discuss with league presidents all waivers that were processed in 2009, and evaluate which waivers need to be submitted for the 2010 season.

League Retention: As leagues begin planning for the upcoming playing season, a great way to expand participation in your district is to reach out to leagues that do not offer softball or the teenage divisions for both baseball and softball. If you have questions about the benefits of these divisions or would like guidance on how your leagues can establish, please contact the League Development Department.

New League Inquiries: If communities or neighborhoods have expressed interest in chartering a Little League program, or adding divisions to their current programs, contact the Little League International League Development Department - Dan Velte, Director of League Development and Affiliation, dvelte@LittleLeague.org; or Sam Ranck, League Development Manager, sranck@LittleLeague.org.

Safety plans: Remind all leagues that safety plans need to be updated. For those that have not previously submitted plans, encourage them to do so by April 1 to receive a discount on the league insurance. The official deadline for safety plan submission is May 1.

District Budget: Now is the appropriate time for District Administrators to prepare a budget for the 2010 regular season and postseason. Once the budget is completed, present it to leagues in the district.

Crime Insurance: Insurance covering loss by theft is not provided by Little League Baseball and Softball. Please contact the Liability Department at Little League International with any crime insurance-related questions.

Little League Road Shows: A listing of Little League Road Shows is available here: http://www.littleleague.org/districtadmins/roadshows.htm. If a Road Show is scheduled in your area, promote that information to local leagues in the district.
