Review Rules and Regulations: Meet with league presidents to review new baseball and softball rules and regulations that will be in place for the 2009 seasons. Discuss new initiatives and vote on district policy regarding the pitch count options.
 
Waivers: Discuss with league presidents all waivers that were in processed in 2008, and evaluate which waivers need to be submitted for the 2009 season.

League Retention: This time of year is a great time to work on retention of leagues in your district, or to reach out to contacts in areas of your district that are not chartered. Ensure that existing leagues in your district plan on chartering for the upcoming season. If one of your leagues has decided not to charter for the upcoming season, contact the League Development Department at Little League International for assistance in keeping this program affiliated with Little League.

Safety plans: Remind all leagues that safety plans need to be updated. For those that have not previously submitted plans, encourage them to do so by April 1 to receive a discount on the league insurance. The official deadline for safety plan submission is May 1.

District Budget: Now is the appropriate time for District Administrators to prepare a budget for the 2009 regular season and postseason. Once the budget is completed, present it to leagues in the district.
