Little League® International Mourns the Passing of Former California District 45 Administrator, Mike DeBone

Little League® International mourns the passing of Mike DeBone, former California District 45 Administrator. He was 86. Mr. DeBone first volunteered with San Lorenzo National Little League, serving for 25 years, including 16 years as League President and three as the league’s Player Agent.

Continuing his volunteer commitment to the Little League program, Mr. DeBone joined the California District 45 staff. He was elected District 45 Administrator in 1992, serving in that capacity until 2010 – a term of 18 years. Since 2011, he continued to give his time as an Assistant District Administrator, totaling 45 years of volunteer service to the Little League program.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. DeBone was a retired business owner and avid golfer. He is survived by his wife Ruth; and his children Tim, Diana, Michelle, Paul, Amanda, and Chabot. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael. He was also the loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
