Little League® Baseball and Softball, in conjunction with its licensing agency Fermata Partners, has signed a new retail licensing agreement with TeamMarketing, a division of WaxWorks, based in Owensboro, Ky.
In a unique relationship, the rights granted to TeamMarketing will allow the firm to source and develop a wide array of toys and games, school supplies, domestic/household items, personal accessories, and select apparel items under the Little League brand. TeamMarketing will also work with several existing Little League licensees and official partners to assist in their distribution efforts.
“We’re extremely excited to be partnered with the largest youth sports organization in the world,” said Clayton Nichols, TeamMarketing Vice President of Sales. “We look forward to working closely with Little League to expand its brand at retail and provide the millions of Little League constituents with product to help celebrate their passion for the organization and youth sports in general.”
“TeamMarketing brings a unique combination of product development creativity, tremendous retail relationships, a world class fulfillment operation, and a passion for Little League,” said Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “We look forward to working with their team to unlock new opportunities for Little League families at retail, further supporting the Little League brand and mission.”
Little League International works closely with strategic licensing partners and its official sponsors to help provide valuable support for local Little League programs around the world. Thanks to these relationships, Little League International has been able to create free resources for volunteers, provide direct financial support to local league operations, tournament reimbursement, and keep the costs for leagues to affiliate with Little League to a minimum ($10 per team). This includes the $4 million Grow the Game grant program that Little League International launched in 2015 to support community programs around the world.
The first deliveries of product from TeamMarketing will reach retail outlets this month (August), and the company plans seasonal updates to its product line on a continual basis.
