World of Little League® Museum Offers Independence Day Holiday Specials
In celebration of the Independence Day holiday, the World of Little League® Museum and Official Store will offer a number of fun activities including FREE admission to participants.
On Monday, July 4, admission to the Museum will be FREE to anyone 17 years old and younger who is wearing red, white, and blue. Additionally, admission will be free to those 17 and younger who correctly answer an Independence Day Trivia Question.
Adults also may obtain free admission by showing museum employees on their mobile device that they “like” the Museum’s Facebook page, or have checked in at the Museum via Facebook on Monday.
“These are several great deals on spending part of the day before fireworks, in the comfort of the World of Little League Museum,” said Lance Van Auken, Vice President of Little League International and Executive Director of the Museum.
Military veterans with proper identification, including up to five immediate family members, are always at no charge as part of the Blue Star Museum Program and the Museum’s veteran’s policy. Also all Little League players wearing their uniform shirts bearing an official Little League shoulder patch always are admitted at no charge.
“These offers are a great way for local residents, as well as travelers, to visit the museum at no charge to familiarize themselves with the interactive experiences, films, and artifacts that are included,” said Van Auken.
The Museum, 525 U.S. 15 (Montgomery Pike), is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The Little League Baseball World Series is scheduled for August 18 through 28. At that time, the museum will extend its hours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Typically, general admission for the Museum is $5. Children ages 5-12 are admitted for $2, and Seniors 62 and older are admitted for $3. Children 4 and younger are free.
Group rates are available for 20 or more people who pre-schedule a visit. More information about the Museum is available at LittleLeagueMuseum.org or by contacting the Museum at 570-326-3607 or museum@LittleLeague.org. Follow World of Little League on Facebook and Twitter.
