Visit the World of Little League® Museum and Earn Prizes for the Local League of Your Choice

Little Leaguers® and friends who visit the World of Little League®: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store, in February can earn 100 shoulder patches for their local league.

Kicking off a month-long promotion centered on Valentine’s Day, the museum has announced “Show Love for Your League Month.” The promotion will run from February 1 through February 29, and there are two ways to win.

Visitors touring the Museum will be asked if they are affiliated with a Little League or can identify their community’s Little League. The local league that receives the “most love” from all visitors by the end of the month will receive 100 free Little League official shoulder patches. The patches are required on all Little League uniforms.

The second way local Little League programs can win is individuals can have their photo taken while at the Museum, and allow it to be posted on the Museum’s Facebook page (facebook.com/LittleLeagueMuseum). Individuals and leagues are encouraged to share these photos on Facebook, and the league with the most “likes” will earn 100 patches as well.

Each of the prize packages is valued at $200.

“For more than a half century, millions of people around the world have proudly worn the Little League official patch on their uniforms,” said Lance Van Auken, Little League Vice President and Executive Director of the Museum. “Show Love for Your Little League Month is a great way for everyone to get motivated for the Little League season by touring the Museum, discovering Little League’s storied history, and having fun with interactive exhibits.”

The World of Little League, 525 Montgomery Pike (U.S. Route 15), is open daily from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., including Presidents’ Day, Feb. 16. General admission is $5. It is $2 for children (ages 5 through 12) and $3 for senior citizens (ages 62 and older). Children four and younger are admitted free of charge, as well as any Little Leaguer wearing a uniform shirt that includes the Little League official shoulder patch..
