Little League® International Remembers California District 18 Assistant District Administrator Jaime Garcia

Little League® International mourns the passing of Jaime Garcia, California District 18 Assistant Administrator. He was 56.

A native of Los Angeles, Mr. Garcia spent more than 35 years as a Little League volunteer, serving in nearly every capacity including, team manager, umpire, local league Board member, and League President of West Alhambra Little League.

California District 18 Administrator, Milan Mrakich, appointed Mr. Garcia to the District staff in 2004, where he served until his passing. In March of 2015, Mr. Garcia was presented with the District 18 Little League Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mr. Garcia, an Army Veteran, resided in Baldwin Park, Calif., were he worked as a funeral and cemetery director. He was an active member in the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW); and lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Oakland Raiders. Mr. Garcia is survived by his sons, Jaime, Jr., Philip and Anthony; daughter, Vanessa; brothers, Philip and Steve Garcia; sisters, Michelle and Mary Ann; and eight grandchildren.
