Asia-Pacific beat Southwest on Saturday 9-1 at Taylor, MI in seven innings.
Asia-Pacific scored three runs in the seventh on Asia-Pacific scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Pei-Fong Dai, an RBI single by Yen-An Lin, and an RBI single by Li-Heng Chen.
Lin racked up three RBIs on two hits for Asia-Pacific.
Ruei-Yang Gu-Lin kept contact to a minimum, striking out six Southwest batters. Gu-Lin allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk over 5 1/3 innings.
Brian Juarez took the loss for Southwest. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out none.
Asia-Pacific brought home two runs in the third inning, and matched that run total in the fifth. In the third, Asia-Pacific scored on a steal of home, plating Shih-Kai Hsu.
