Major League baseball players and Little League® Baseball and Softball have licensed Acton, Mass. based OYO Sports to produce collectible minifigures of current and former Major Leaguers featured in their Little League All‐Star uniforms, the parties announced today.

The initial product line includes Little League versions of Adrian Gonzalez (Sweetwater Valley Little League), Derek Jeter (Westwood Little League), Ian Kinsler (Canyon Del Oro Little League), Dustin Pedroia (Woodland Little League), Troy Tulowitzki (Sunnyvale National Little League), and David Wright (Green Run Little League). The line also includes Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan (Alvin Little League), as well as a special “Williamsport Edition” Little League‐specific minifigure.

“Little League is excited to showcase our 75th Anniversary with these unique collectible products that represent some of the distinguished alumni of our program. We believe kids and families will love them and we look forward to working with OYO in the future on additional Sports toys that represent the life lessons and values that Little League hopes to instill in individuals in various careers and professions,” said Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Baseball and Softball vice president of marketing and strategic partnerships.

“Major Leaguers are proud to help Little League Baseball celebrate its 75th anniversary by highlighting some of the hundreds of players to have had their dreams of becoming a Major Leaguer sparked by putting on a Little League uniform ,” said Evan Kaplan, Major League Baseball Players Association director of licensing and business development. “This product line not only brings fans closer to their favorite players, it demonstrates to all that through hard work and determination – lessons learned on the Little League field – dreams can come true.”

“I remember putting on a Little League uniform for the first time as if it was yesterday,” said David Wright, New York Mets third baseman. “Playing Little League Baseball was fun and I’m extremely honored to be a part of this fun product line.”

The OYO Sports product line is comprised of building‐block style minifigures, with bendable knees, rotating forearms, and the ability to hold a bat, ball, or glove. Compatible with other popular building‐block toy lines, the Little League OYO minifigures represent the latest innovation from the company that has met significant success with current products, including those featuring current MLB, NFL, and NHL players.

“As fans of the game we love the idea of taking some of the best players, both past and present, and making them available in their Little League uniform as OYO minifigures.” said Tom Skripps, Founder and CEO, OYO Sports. “From Nolan Ryan in his Alvin Little League uniform to 14‐time All Star Derek Jeter in his Westwood Little League uniform, we’re sure these products will delight fans of all ages.”

The Little League/MLBPA licensed OYO minifigures are available at select toy stores, collectors stores, and fan shops, as well as on www.oyosports.com and LittleLeagueStore.net. Items will also be available at the upcoming Little League Baseball® World Series in South Williamsport, Pa, August 14 to 24.

The license agreement with OYO Sports was brokered by Fermata Partners, Little League’s licensing agency.
