World of Little League® Announces Activities for the Holidays
Special activities for holiday fun are in store at the World of Little League®: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store from now through the end of December.
Santa Claus will visit the museum, along with Mrs. Claus and Little League mascot, Dugout, from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, December 15, with free admission for everyone. Not only will visitors have the opportunity to take their photographs with the Jolly Old Elf and see the recently renovated museum, they will also receive free holiday gift, a Little League World Series pin, with any purchase at the Official Store.
The World of Little League, which underwent a $4.3 million renovation earlier this year, is located at 525 U.S. Route 15 in South Williamsport. For more information, visit LittleLeagueMuseum.org.
Also, any Little Leaguers® wearing their Little League jerseys (complete with official Little League patch) will receive free admission during all of December. They too will get a free holiday gift, a Little League World Series pin, with any purchase at the Official Store.
“For anyone who has not seen the completely renovated World of Little League Museum, this is the time,” said Lance Van Auken, Vice President and Executive Director of the World of Little League. “Not only can people visit with Santa, but they can see the museum for free and get a great stocking stuffer, too. Plus, we have dozens of great gift ideas in the Official Store.”
These events are in addition to the museum’s participation in the local Toys for Tots program. Any visitors bringing a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more gains free admission to the museum for the day and 10 percent off a purchase of $20 or more.
Throughout the month, the museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Contact the museum (570-326-3607) about hours for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, or in the case of inclement weather.
