Little League® Launches New Communications Vehicle for Families: The Parent Connection Newsletter
Little League® Baseball and Softball has established a direct line of communications with the parents, guardians and caretakers of the 2.4 million boys and girls who play Little League around the world. Click here to view the first issue.
Launching today, October 15, The Parent Connection newsletter will provide parents with the information they need to ensure that their Little Leaguers® have the best experience possible, while also providing a community-based resource that the whole family can be a part of. The launch of the monthly e-publication coincides with the establishment of a new website dedicated to parent’s resources,LittleLeague.org/Parents.
“Little League runs on the support of parents,” said Wayne Henninger, Little League Senior Communications Executive, and father of an Orwigsburg (Pa.) Little Leaguer. “The guardians and caretakers of Little Leaguers, whether they’re volunteering as a coach, working the concession stand or just getting their children to practices and games, are vital to our organization, and have been for our entire 75-year history. This new communications vehicle will allow them to get information directly from Little League, and will provide an outlet for families to share their experiences with the organization.”
With original content created specifically for the families of Little Leaguers, The Parent Connection will have details about the operation of local leagues, tips on helping children learn the fundamentals of the game and stories about important information for parents and players. Little League is also establishing a dedicated email for parents (firstname.lastname@example.org), to encourage an open dialog with the millions of Little League families around the world. Anyone interested in receiving the newsletter and learning more about Little League can sign up at LittleLeague.org/Parents.
“We could not be more thankful for the dedication of our Little League parents,” said Mr. Henninger. “For 75 years, Little League has been a place for the entire family to come together in a safe, fun environment. We are excited for the opportunity to enhance the Little League experience for all Little League families.”
