Is My Bat OK? Three Easy Steps

This algorithm is designed to let you know if your bat is currently usable in the various divisions of Little League for the 2011 season.

On Sept. 1, 2010, Little League International enacted a moratorium on 2 5/8 inch barrel baseball bats that have composite materials in the barrel. Subsequent to that, certain composite-barreled bats were given waivers, if it could be shown in a laboratory that they would not exceed the performance standard, after the Accelerated Break-In process.

Similarly, on Dec. 30, 2010, Little League International enacted a moratorium on 2 1/4 inch barrel baseball bats that have composite materials in the barrel. Subsequent to that, certain composite-barreled bats were given waivers, if it could be shown in a laboratory that they would not exceed the performance standard, after the Accelerated Break-In process.
