Just in Time for Tournament Orders: Little League Offering Official Uniforms
Your local league can now buy Little League Baseball and Softball Official Uniforms, complete with your league’s name or MLB logos. Pitch in for Baseball to Help Hurricane-Damaged Leagues
Last year, hundreds of thousands of families along the Gulf Coast of the United States were devastated by hurricanes. Some Little League programs there are still struggling. Little League Baseball World Series Grads Play Olympic Hockey
Chris Drury and Krissy Wendell, who received their first exposure to international sports at the Little League Baseball World Series, and helped the U.S. men’s and women’s hockey teams to 2002 Olympics silver medals in Salt Lake City, once again led their Olympic squads in the XX Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy. The Little League Pitch Count Pilot Program resource page is now available for those leagues interested in the initiative.  Harold Reynolds, Steve Keener Chat About Little League
Last month, Little League district administrators and local Little League presidents were invited to take part in a telephone conference along with Steve Keener (Little League Baseball and Softball president and chief executive officer) and former Major Leaguer Harold Reynolds. TV, Radio, and Web Contracts Available to Districts and Local Leagues

Challenger World Jamboree Just Two Months Away
The first Challenger Little League Baseball World Jamboree, set for May 11-14, 2006 at the Azalea Little League Complex in Norfolk, Va., promises to be a highlight of the year. Hosted by Virginia District 8, there’s still room for YOUR Challenger team. Read all about this fantastic event here.

Little League’s Volunteers Deserve to be Recognized
Once again, through the generous support of AIG, the Little League Awards Program will recognize national winners in several categories of volunteers, and one player. Remember, the deadline is June 1. All the information, including the entry forms and background materials, can be found here.

Several Little League Road Show Events Still Available
Little League’s popular “Year in the Life of Hometown Little League” presentation is still available at many locations as part of the “Little League Road Show” program. Is there a Road Show coming to a town near you? Check out the details here.

Published for each of the past 11 years, “A Year in the Life of Hometown Little League” has been helping league administrations become better prepared for what’s next in their local Little League. A Piece of Little League’s Past: Inventing a New Shoe
In 1947, Little League founder Carl E. Stotz requested the first Little League national sponsor, U.S. Rubber, develop a rubber-cleated athletic shoe. The rest is history, and you can read all about it here.
